Service Learning Reflection

What did you accomplish during your service learning?

During my service learning I was able to help workers around Horry County get their taxes filed.

What impact do you believe this made on the community?

The impact that I made on the community was putting money back into the pockets of taxpayers. We allowed them to keep the $300 it would take if they went to a commercial tax site for different things.

What (if anything) will you continue to do to contribute?

To contribute to the VITA program. I plan on starting my own tax site in Rock Hill while in college to deliver the same free assistance that I provided in Horry County.

What could you have done better?

I always tell myself that I could have helped more people. I believe that if I did not have to work then I could have been at more tax sites being available to the public.
